The Edge Letter Privacy Policy

Devmance LLC, a California limited liability company ("Devmance," "we," "us," or "our"), operates The Edge Letter (formerly published as "Simulence Edge") — the website at edgeletter.ai and the Edge Letter newsletters (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Devmance LLC also operates Simulence (simulence.ai). If you adopt or chat with Edge Letter analyst identities on Simulence, that activity is governed by the Simulence Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Newsletter subscription: your email address, consent and confirmation timestamps (we use double opt-in), subscription status, and your newsletter preferences (which desks you subscribe to and, optionally, which teams you follow).
- Account information: if you create an account, your email address and an authentication credential managed by Google Firebase Authentication. We do not see or store your password.
- Payment information: paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our systems; we retain subscription status, plan, and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers.
- Correspondence: emails you send us (e.g., to support@edgeletter.ai).
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested pages) used for security and operations, and a functional session cookie (
__session) used solely to keep you signed in. We currently run no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics on edgeletter.ai.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to: deliver the newsletters you asked for (including desk- and team-segmented editions); operate free and paid subscriptions (including billing, plan changes, and cancellations); send transactional emails (confirmation, account, and billing messages); maintain the security and reliability of the Services; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
3. Service Providers
We share personal information only with the processors needed to run the Services:
- Twilio SendGrid — email delivery and unsubscribe management
- Stripe — payment processing and billing
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication and data storage
- Amazon Web Services — website hosting
Each processes your data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
4. Email Choices
Every Edge Letter issue includes a one-click unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops the newsletter immediately. Transactional emails (subscription confirmations, billing notices, account messages) are sent as needed to operate the Services and are not marketing.
5. Data Retention
We keep newsletter records while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period after unsubscribing (to honor suppression). Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. You may request deletion at any time (Section 7).
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), managed authentication, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and, where applicable, the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@edgeletter.ai — we will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
8. Children
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to anyone under 18; content discussing betting markets is intended for readers 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Users
The Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on edgeletter.ai or by email, and the Effective Date above will be updated.
